Project Update

The goal of Thornton's Vision Zero Action Plan is to create a safe transportation system for all roadway users including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and vehicle users. The Plan will identify projects and actions the City will implement to improve traffic safety on the City’s streets.

Thank you to everyone who shared insights about safety issues in our first survey. We received over 300 responses! We have incorporated your ideas into draft safety recommendations. We would love to hear from you again to ensure our recommendations fit with your vision for the community.

We are now asking for your feedback on these draft recommendations and prioritization strategy. You can find these recommendations here in the boards shared at the June 24th open house. You will need to review these recommendations before providing feedback.

The following sections include:

  • A brief survey seeking feedback on our general approach.
  • An interactive web map where you can suggest specific locations for recommended safety improvements.
