Safe Streets Downtown aims to transform the Hayward Loop to create a safer, more accessible, and community-focused downtown. Safe Streets Downtown will create a community-preferred design and safety plan that the city can advance for funding. The plan will design a project that reflects the experiences, needs, and priorities of those who live, work, and play in Downtown Hayward.
The map below shows the project's study area, which includes A Street, Mission Boulevard, and Foothill Boulevard. The project will also evaluate B Street and C Street within downtown.

The primary project goal is to:

During this interactive session, we will discuss potential design options for the Hayward Loop and you will get a chance to design the options you would like to see! Your input will directly inform the development of a community-preferred alternative for the Loop.
Option 2: Hayward Loop Design Options Open House | 4:30 - 6:00 PM
During this interactive session, you will get a chance to review and provide feedback on potential options for redesigning the Hayward Loop.
