Thank you for your input on these four alternatives. The Survey closed Sunday February 8, 2026.

The community survey was open from December 22, 2025 through February 8, 2026 and received 646 votes from residents both inside and outside Sebastopol city limits. The comments strongly reinforced themes heard throughout the 18-month study: a desire for a safer, more walkable, and vibrant downtown environment. “Walkable One-Way” (Alternative 3) received the highest level of support with 34% of the vote (221 responses), followed by “Fine-Tune Today” at 25% (160 votes), “Totally Two-Way” at 23% (151 votes), and “Test the Two-Way” at 18% (114 votes). Voting patterns were generally consistent between respondents living within city limits and those outside the city, with Alternative 3 receiving the most support in both groups. Across written comments, respondents consistently emphasized pedestrian safety, protected bicycle facilities, shorter crossings, narrower travel lanes, and traffic calming measures. Views on converting downtown streets to full two-way circulation were mixed, with some expressing strong support for restoring two-way travel and others preferring to prioritize pedestrian-focused improvements first. Overall, safety and strengthening the downtown experience emerged as the most consistent and widely shared priorities.
