San Bernardino County – Freight Community Feedback

Overview

California Assembly Bill 98 (AB 98) was signed into law on September 29, 2024 and superseded a year later on October 3, 2025 by Senate Bill 415. These laws changed requirements for how local jurisdictions approve and regulate new warehouses, including how trucks are allowed to access them. The truck route provision in the law requires local jurisdictions (cities and counties) to approve truck routes, prepare maps of the truck routes, and install signage to let truck drivers know where they should be driving. As much as possible, truck routes should avoid residential areas, schools, parks, and other sensitive uses while still maintaining safe and efficient movement of goods. San Bernardino County adopted regional truck routes on December 16th, 2025.
