The City of Lathrop and San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) are studying the needs and opportunities for public transportation across the community as the City grows. The study will evaluate several concepts for future public transit service within Lathrop.
The study brings together a number of elements to provide direction on future transit service within Lathrop:
- Engage with community members to identify desired destinations and trip purposes that new transit service should serve.
- Analyze big data and demographics to identify areas of Lathrop where expanded public transit could be most successful in meeting the community’s goals and align with current travel patterns.
- Develop conceptual transit alternatives and gather additional community feedback on these concepts.
- Provide guidance on funding opportunities and required resources necessary for implementation.
We Want to Hear From You!
The Lathrop Transit Study project concepts survey is now closed. Thank you for your feedback and please stay tuned for a draft report to be released in 2025 outlining the recommended concept and implementation options.
