Kittitas County has drafted a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP) for Snoqualmie Pass to improve transportation safety.
The CSAP process involved the following:
- Engaging community members to understand safety concerns in Snoqualmie Pass.
- Understanding needs and factors for both current and future road conditions, user safety, and recreation.
- Prioritizing policies and projects to work towards improving safety and managing transportation and capacity.

Phase 1: Listening and Learning
Understanding that data often captures crash information once it is too late, we are reaching out to community members to learn from their anecdotes on near-miss locations, perceived safety, and ideas for improvement.

After reviewing the data, we will return to the community to share what we heard so far and what we learned.
